About
Where It Started
I started Pure Bliss Body because I was tired of reading labels I didn't trust.
For years I searched for something that would actually work for my dry skin without the heavy detergents and fillers that commercial soaps rely on. I found plenty of products that promised results, but most of them left me right back where I started.
So I started making my own.
The first batches were just for me. I learned the slow-mixing process, started sourcing food-grade and sustainably certified ingredients, and figured out what actually made a difference. And then people started asking if they could buy them.
A Year of Change, A Business Worth Building
The year I launched Pure Bliss Body was one of the busiest and most unexpected of my life. I was navigating big changes, including a job transition I didn't plan for and some hard moments with people I love. What I had was time, determination, and a growing stack of soap molds.
Trying to get your own business off the ground is more work than you imagine, even when you know going in that it's going to be hard. As a creator, putting something into the world for others to judge takes real courage. There is no better feeling than when a customer picks up a bar, smells it, and decides it's exactly what they were looking for.
That first year taught me a lot about my craft and a lot about myself. I'm grateful for every customer who has taken a chance on my products and gave feedback, and for every fellow vendor who has been generous enough to share what they know.
As I like to say: sometimes opportunities look like the end of the road, when in reality they're just a fork in the path. I chose to move forward with gusto. That's still the plan.

Inspired by the World Around Us, Made in New Jersey
The inspiration for Pure Bliss Body comes from two places: the world I travel and the world right outside the door. The salt air at the Jersey Shore. Tomato plants coming in at the end of summer. Orange trees lining the streets of cities I’ve been lucky enough to visit. These are the sensory moments that find their way into what I make.
At certain times of the year, Pure Bliss Body offers limited collections with deep meaning behind them. The one I’m most proud of started with a trip through the Mediterranean.
I traveled through Spain, Italy, Morocco, and the South of France with a group of good friends. It was the kind of trip that changes the way you see things. Orange trees lining the streets of Barcelona. The sharp, sunny bite of Limoncello in Italy. The warm hospitality of a Moroccan community oven. The quiet elegance of a century-old olive farm in Provence.
I came home inspired. The Limited Mediterranean Collection grew out of that trip: a small line of handmade soaps that captures the fragrances and colors of each place. Moroccan Mint Tea. Italian Limoncello. Malaga Orange. French Lavender. Each one tells a story, and I hope it brings a moment of transport when you open the bar.

Frequently Asked Questions
-
It means every product is mixed and poured by hand, in limited quantities, by Pat. Small-batch production lets the beneficial ingredients in each formula do their job properly. It also means when a scent or style sells out, it may take a little time to restock.
-
Each bar of Pure Bliss Body soap is handcrafted in small batches, so minor variations in appearance like air bubbles or slight differences in color are a natural part of the process. These details are a mark of something genuinely made by hand, and never affect the quality or performance of your product.
-
Pure Bliss Body uses only RSPO-certified sustainable palm oil, sourced through suppliers who are members of the Roundtable on Sustainable Palm Oil. RSPO certification means the palm oil is traceable to growers who meet standards for protecting forests, wildlife habitats, and the communities where palm is grown. It's a small but meaningful way to use an ingredient that works beautifully in soap while supporting more responsible sourcing. RSPO-certified palm oil contributes to a hard, long-lasting bar with a stable, creamy lather, which is why it's a traditional ingredient in cold-processed soap making.

Pure Bliss Body products are formulated without the harsh detergents found in most commercial soaps. Many customers with dry and sensitive skin have found them to be a gentler option. If you have specific skin concerns or allergies, take a look at the full ingredient list on each product page. When in doubt, send a message and Pat will help you figure out the best fit.
-
Because Pure Bliss Body products are made without synthetic preservatives, they have a shorter shelf life than commercial alternatives. This is intentional. All products are best used within 12 months. Store products in a cool, dry place and away from direct sunlight for best results.
